Why should I give?

Trusting God and putting Him first in your finances declares a blessing over your life. God tells us to test him in bringing the whole tithe and see if He will not “throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it” (Malachi 3:10). At Motion Church, we believe that we can’t out give God because the more we give, the more we receive.

What is the benefit of setting up recurring giving for my tithe?

Your generosity builds the local church, so if you are ever out of town or forget to give, you can be confident that you are still giving.

Is online giving secure?

Yes, we’ve taken steps to ensure that the giving process is safe and secure from beginning to end. All of your giving data is secured by SSL encryption. SSL is an acronym for “Secure Socket Layer”, a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions.

How are checks processed?

We are able to scan checks automatically and they will be processed immediately. After the giving on the weekend, we process the funds during that week. The standard processing time for a check is 3-5 business days.

Does your company match your giving?

Many employers offer a corporate donation matching program in which they will match a donation to a qualified 501c3 organization by sending the receiving organization a donation of up to 2x the value you give. That means if you donate $1,000 to your favorite nonprofit, the organization could potentially receive $3,000 from your donation!

During your donation experience, you’ll be asked whether you’d like to participate in your workplace’s employer matching program, you’ll select yes. Enter your employer’s name, and Overflow will reach out via email, and you will complete this process directly with your workplace.

What if I need to make changes (credit card, amount, date) to a scheduled contribution?

When you log in you will be given a chance to edit or delete a scheduled contribution, including the credit card, date, frequency and amount.
